The Moonglow ensemble mixes and mashes the Great American Songbook, Gypsy jazz, vintage and contemporary pop, Classical music, Latin, and Country and Western, to create a soulful, relaxed, al fresco atmosphere to infuse your event with an air of  sophistication and bring a smile to your heart.

Versatility is key to The Moonglow ensemble, who can function as background entertainers or featured artists, with vocals or strictly instrumental. There are several personnel configurations available to suit your budget.

Guitarist Eric Symons leads this group that mixes Flamenco, Jazz and Brazilian influences.  Performing a tasty blend of rhythm and Latin soul, Allegro Picante is available as a guitar duo, or trio with Barry Shiffman who plays percussion, sax and flute.  Other options are with jazz bass, a quartet with added rhythm guitar, or as a quintet with added Latin Percussion. Music by Paco de Lucia, Otmar Leibert, Gypsy Kings, Jobim, as well as American Jazz Standards. This group has opened for Cleo Lane, and has appeared at Auction Napa Valley, and in concert throughout the Bay Area.

With a repertoire that draws from the rich tapestry of traditional American music, this four-piece ensemble embraces the worlds of swing, cowboy ballads, blues, Tin Pan Alley, honky-tonk, string band music, polka and just about any traditional style under the sun.
