Guitarist Eric Symons leads this group that mixes Flamenco, Jazz and Brazilian performing a tasty blend of rhythm and Latin soul; available as a guitar duo, trio with Barry Shiffman who plays percussion, sax and flute, with jazz bass, a quartet with added rhythm guitar, our quintet with added Latin Percussion. Music by Paco de Lucia, Otmar Leibert, Gypsy Kings, Jobim, as well as American Jazz Standards. This group recently opened for Cleo Lane, and has appeared at Auction Napa Valley, and in concert throughout the Bay Area.
Max Perkoff
An active musician in the San Francisco Bay Area, Max continues to tour the west and east coasts of the USA. An award-winning trombonist and pianist, he has played private events for over 30 years at such venues as Auberge du Soleil in Rutherford, The Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco, Fifth Avenue Hotel in New York City, many of Napa Valley’s wineries, private homes, and dozens of other fine locations.
As a solo pianist or a group of any size, his repertoire of hundreds of songs and compositions includes classical, brass quintet, jazz, swing, latin-jazz, big-band, blues, boogie-woogie, rhythm & blues, motown, and early rock and roll. Tune samples include Bach & Debussy Preludes, The Pachelbel Canon, As Time Goes By, The Girl from Ipanema, Fly Me to the Moon, In the Mood, The Thrill Is Gone, Mustang Sally, I Heard It from the Grapevine, and Jailhouse Rock.
